I've installed and reinstalled numerous times but am unable to get the component to show up in the Flash window. I do have the import function but nothing else.

See if you have followed these steps

1)     Open the [Window - > Other Panel -> FreeSpin3D]
2)     Open the [Window - > Components]
3)     Drag the Freeespin3D component to the stage.
4)     Make sure that the Freespin3D component on the stage is the only selected item.

Note that the FreeSpin3D is for Action Script 3.0. If a problem still consists,
please send us details about your working environment.Cheers
