Convert 3ds - File Failed to upload

    Hi,

I am trying to convert a 3ds file from the website online utility. I don't have internet access on my workstation where flash is installed. The model uploads fine. I can rotate it around in the preview window and make changes to the model's center. When I click convert, I get an error stating the the file failed to upload please try again. This is a very simple model with no textures and only 692 polys.

Also, in the preview, the model is smoothed like the smoothing angle has been changed. I just want flat faces with no smoothing applied. How do I lower the smoothing angle on the online conversion utility?

    Thanks,

    Wes

    Dear Wes,

To be able to convert you need internet access to our conversion farm. Still i wonder how did you manage to login and upload the file without it.

Regarding your second question, Controlling the viewpoints smoothness is done through the resolution & Open angles in the parameters tab. If you want the preview to show only the defined views, change the View Mode from SVP rotation to AVP rotation.

Let me know if this helps.

I got access through my account. I signed up on the website, go to my account and then convert. How do I get access to the conversion farm? I really very interested in FreeSpin and would like to evaluate it.

Please let me know how to get his working!

     Thanks,

    Wes
