    Animating with FreeSpin...?

Is there a walkthrough of how to animate with FreeSpin? I loaded the "Fighter1" model into Flash and opened the FreeSpin panel to reach the controls. So, how do I add a keyframe at a later frame to create motion for the model? Whenever I try to click in the timeline at a new frame to add a keyframe, the FreeSpin model is deselected and the FreeSpin panel goes blank.

It's been a while since I've animated in Flash, so if there's a keyboard shortcut for jumping to another frame - without deselecting the FreeSpin model - please let me know.

     Thanks in advance.

    Hi Todd ,

Animating 3d models with FreeSpin3D in flash is the same as animating any models in flash .
    1. Go to the the frame that you want to advance to and press f5 .
    2. In the properties panel select the "motion" option in the tweening select box.
    3. Press F6 in the advanced frame  and rotate the model with the FreeSpin3D controll panel .

you can also view our online tutorial here for a visual example.

Feel free to pursue this thread

    Cheers

    Re: Animating with FreeSpin...?

I followed your steps and the model stays in position until it jumps to the new position on the keyframe at the end. But, it's still in the original position one frame before the end keyframe. There's no 'tweening' movement even though I set it to Motion in the Properties panel when you suggested. There's a dotted line right before I add the keyframe, and it turns into a line-with-an-arrow after I add the keyframe and reposition the model. I wish Flash had auto-keyframing.

    Hi Todd,

Flash doesn't auto complete your 3d model rotation , you have to do it by adding key-frame to each position that you rotate , meaning that you manually rotate the model(press f6 and rotate) each time the model is rotated, flash will auto complete the rotation for you .

in our tutorial you can see how the rotation is done manually:
