    3d model import

     Hi all ,

Im new to this ,what i have seen so far is great.

    heres the problem i have.

i dl a 3ds model (.3ds) i imported with  Spin3d  i try to view it and get this error (FreeSpin3D Error:#1008 Parsing model failed.
    Additional data: G_TBL01).

maybe im importing it wrong , i used the help menu included with the package , the converter shown in the example is totaly differant than the module in flash.do i need to dl a seperate converter ? if so i cant seem to find it anywhere on the Spin 3d site.

again this plugin rocks so far , i would definately purchase it givn there are some tutorials to go with it ,sorry to be such a newbie.

one more ? i noticed a post somene had imported a 3dmax file , will the converter convert .max also?

thanks for your time and patience.

    Re: 3d model import

Welcome StormBringer, we are happy to have you.1) Is there a way we can get the 3ds file so we can check it in our labs? you can send it to support@freespin3d.com2) There are two ways to import a model into flash:
    • From the Flash IDE activating the Quick Import from the Commands menu, this enables a fairly fast import with predefined conversion settings.
    • Using the Conversion engine, accessed from the freespin3d web site, just login and go to your account (on the top right side), there you will get much more flexibility with the conversion settings. After the conversion, download the model and import it into flash.
    3) Currently we support the import of 3ds files, we will support more formats soon.Hope this helps.

That is true, and it is a bit low.

I heard that next version it goes up to 4000 poly.

    Anyone can confirm that?
